A New Way To Do Business
The release of version 7 of our popular shopping cart software solutions comes at a time when all the rules about doing business on the Internet have changed. The web has moved into it's 2.0 phase, and the software applications like ours that power businesses, and our economy, have been challenged to adapt to these changes. With the seventh version of ClickCartPro and EuropaCart, we attempted to meet this challenge head on. We believe we succeeded.
ClickCartPro 7 and EuropaCart 7 introduce a whole new way to do business on the web. In the latest release, we rebuilt the entire system as a unified platform to allow for easy data interchange between components. With these architecture changes, we've opened up opportunities to expand the capabilities of the software beyond what any of us can imagine. Here are just a few of the cool things we did in version 7:
- Major architectural changes were made to the entire platform to make it faster, more efficient and easier to work with and extend. The Kryptronic Hybrid X Core framework was replaced with a unified framework.
- Added a new web 2.0 management interface (in addition to the standard interface) with Ajax windows and multitasking. This increases productivity as the interface acts like an operating system now.
- Both the web 2.0 and standard management interfaces were completely overhauled based on user comments to provide a more user friendly and intuitive experience.
- Added new productivity tools like relationship managers and wysiwyg editors and a dashboard which provides links to all main menu items, a server news recap and stats for pageviews and orders for the past day, month and year.
- Integration with Joomla! via a series of Joomla! components, plugins and modules. This integration allows both Joomla! and the online store to install and operate as standalone programs - but connects them to provide true synchronous single-sign-on and user persistence. Also included is the ability to import online store skin widgets into the Joomla! template and the ability to use the Joomla! template as an online store skin.
- Added new accounting export for Sage and new processing gateway integrations for SagePay (Protx), Nochex, Barclaycard (ePDQ), PayPoint.net (SECpay), and HSBC.
- Expanded the state/province and country tax systems to include up to five levels of taxes, exemptions for disabilities and digital goods, and support for non-standard systems like those in the EU, Canada and Austrailia.
- Full support in the base program for EU VAT. The new EU VAT system is more efficient than previously available for our software through other vendors, and works with multi-rated products and product options.
