The idea to start Convenient Gadgets came about in August of 2002. As we started the business, we realized the kind of site we needed but our resources to actually make it happen were very limited. By December of 2002, after many hours of research, due to a very limited budget, we were beginning to fold. We had contacted many design firms and site builders (ecommerce solutions); once we submitted the features we wanted in our store such as, inventory control, complete catalog control, order tracking, real-time shipping rates, e-mail list management, detailed statistics, secure payment gateways and so on, one company actually quoted us a price tag of $12,000.
Finally, on December 20 of 2002 I stumbled upon Kryptonics site. After playing in the demo store for a while, then reading dozens of posts in the very active forum and checking out various CCP stores, I decided to go ahead and make the $99 purchase. It proved to be the best move we could have made. Just about every single element of this software is fully customizable.
Our store finally went live in March of 2003. We began with just 6 items, we now carry more then 80 and have no intention to stop there. With CCP, updating our site and adding new products on a weekly basis is a breeze and it’s what keeps our customers coming back. During the Christmas rush we were averaging about 25 orders per day. Every single order was administered flawlessly.
Our main competitors in our “niche” have million dollar budgets, they are listed on the NASDAQ, they have thousands upon thousands of addresses they market too, yet with the flexibility and reliability of Click Cart Pro we stand and jab our competition as we grow more and more, day by day. Simply put...this software is limited by nothing more than your own limitations.
